At a jewel ball the Baroness de Rocheville was decked in jewels valued at two hundred thousand sterling, the Countess d'Auvergne's jewels were worth a hundred and sixty thousand sterling, and the Countess Derbyraa wore a speci-ally-designed diamond tiara, each prong being tipped with a large diamond.
