York, June 14. The Biennial Convention of the Women's Club at Chicago, three thousand delegates attending, denounced present fashions as immodest and extreme, lacking beauty. The Convention urges the appointment of a committee of women in each State to confer with the manufacturers and dressmakers with a view to treating simple, more attractive and | more modest styles.
