They were never fully extended', and are regarded as almost invincible. Dunlop defeated Green, ff—l, " —3. Brookes and Wilding are not competing in the singles. In the third round at Beckenhnm, Hope and Crisp beat Beamton and Holder, 6 —l, fr—4, Crisp defeated Dunlop at lawn tennis, 6—3, 6—5. He showed noteworthy activity in reaching Dunlop's drop strokes. Thomas and Beamish defeated Parke and Kingseaote, o—o, o—3, o—2.
