Wellington, Thursday. -Messrs 0. Hunter, I. (.'}. Duncan, uml 0. *>. Wiatkins were the judges appointed by the Racing Conference to consider the Mannu'sitti Racing Club's appeal against the Wanganui district committee's decision in the case of T. Wilson, owner- and trainer of the horse Olassis, and T. George, jockey, Who were, disqualified for six months in connection with the running of Classis in the Linton Hack Welter Handicap at the Maiiawatu meeting on April 2<). Kl4.
The judges met in Wellington yesterday and the appeal was dismissed, on the grounds that the evidence was not .Sufficient to justify the conclusion that T. Goorge did not try to win, that the judges failed to find' anything in the evidence wlncn was not consistent with innocence on the part of T. Wilson and they were therefore of the opinion that the Manawiatu 01 ub failed to establish his guilt under paragraph 23 of the 'rules of racing.
