The Canadian Agency's balance-sheet for June, 1913, shows that it borrowed £2,250,000, and received over £500,000, and had a liability of £BOO,OOO of the instalments on the purchase bonus. A receiver has been appointed for the Southern Alberta Land Company, which was associated with the Canadian Agency and Chaplin and Company.

Melbourne, June 11. A man named Croxford was bathing at Sandringlliam in the presence of his wife wlien the latter was horrified to see a large shark draw her husband down. He wes not seen again.
