WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—At .fine mart on Saturday our pens were taxed to their utmost with birds of all classes. Prices were well maintained and we still have an unsatisfied demand for poultry. Prices as under: Hens, young Is 6d to 2a 2d, fat 2s to 2s 6d, pullets, forward 2s 7d to 3s 9d, cockerels, young, Is 6d to 2s, forward Is 9d to 2s 7d; ducks 2s 2d to 2s 8d; -drakes 2a 6d, turkey gobblers 7s, hens 5s 3d to 5s 9d.
Fruit.—During the week very little has come forward, consequently prices are high. Prices as under, according to quality of fruit and size of cuses: Bananas, ripe 2%d lb, oranges 9s Gd to 10s, apples., dessert 8s Od to !te (Id, cookers (is to 7s 6d, pears, cookers 4s to 6s 6d, dessert 10s Od to lis Cd, tomatoes Os 9d to 8s 6d, kumeras 10s cwt.
