liy Cable —Press Association---Copyright Rome, Juno 10. The strike lias spread to the principal cities. The cavalry dispersed a socialists' meeting and 170 armed rioters were arrested. The railway was torn up outside Aneona. Twenty-five soldiers and policemen were injured at Turin. One rioter was killed at Florence. Tihe Premier, in the Chamber, stated that a policeman at Ancona was guilty of firing on the demonstrators. He was arrested amid showers of stones. The soldiers fired only after some had been badly hurt. The strikers burned the railway station at Imola.
A mob of strikers to-day at Florence fired upon the troops with revolvers. The soldiers replied, killing one man and wounding others. A troop in Rome charged the strikers' barricades. Shots were exchanged, and three strikers were wounded, also eight 6oldiers.
RAILWAY BRIDGE DYNAMITED. ARTILLERYMEN. FIRE ON THE STRIKERS. Received 12, 12.30 a.m. Rome, June 11. The strikers will resume on Friday. Some 860 have been arrested.
Strikers dynamited a railway bridge at Riorenzuolo, but the train was stopped in time to avert disaster.
Rioters at Naples stoned the artillerymen at the railway depot. The artillerymen fired, killing one.
