The Wairoa Sub-union, which j comprises portion of the Wanganui and r portion of the Taranaki territory, em- | braces Wavcrley, Wailolara, Pa tea and Alton. Its representatives put up a good fight against the Taranaki B team last year, being defeated only by a narrow margin. The Wairoa team is said to be much stronger than it was last year, whereas the Taranaki B team is certainly stronger, and, as it contains men nil anxious to prove their worthiness for inclusion in the A team, a good exhibition should result.
