A MOTOR PUSH BICYCLE.
There was on view in Messrs Gilmour and Ckrkc'n office List night the latest invasion into the realms of the motor-cycle, wnidi converts the common or garden "push bike" into a motorcycle. The machine, which is knowfi M the "Auto-wheel," and i» mannfactartS by the B.S.A. Oompajry, consist* ot a; compact little li/ 4 Ji.p. engine, fitted on a wheel a little smaller than an ordinary cycle wheel. The whole r.ffai r can bo readily and firmly attached to the back wheel of a bicycle, and will then attain ' a speed' o;' 25 miles per hour on tiho fiat. It is also reputed a good hill climber, -J| although on a very steep hill the en- I gine would need some assistance by pedalling. The control of benzine supply and exhaust would be fixed on the handle in the .ordinary way, but controlled with a single switch. The ai r supply is automatic. It is claimed for the machine, that it does not interfere, with the ordinary up* of the cycle, that it can rim 140 miles on a gallon of benzine*, and carries enough to run about 70 inilest. The new contrivance, If it will .do what is claimed for it, will no doubt bring a motor-cycle within flhe riaeb of all.
