TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. W. M. BAYLY & CO'S. REPORT. j On Tuesday, the 2nd June, we held out monthly sale of above produce, our catalogue comprising a fair quantity of wool, hides, tallow and slieepskins. There .ras a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen. We quote:— Wool in bales:; Lamb's seedy, <ji/ 2 d; lambs, clean and bright, 9d; ewes, 8y 2 d; black, 7'/4<l; fleece in inferior, rjid. Sheepskins: Butcher's half wools, damp, 4's £kl each; half wools, dry, 7y 2 d per lb.; three-quarter wools, 7%d per lb.; lamb full wools, 7s each; salted half wools, 4s 9d each; settler's three-quarter wools, 7%(1 per lb.; fulls, 8d per lbpelts, s'/ 2 d per lb.. I/ 4 Hides: Butcher's medium cow, unwashed, 8d per lb.; washed, S'/ 2 d per lb.; light washed, B%d per lb.; settler's cow, 7d; calfskins, 10% d. Tallow: In casks, medium, 24s 6d per cwt; in tins, 22s 6d per cwt. Our next sale will be held on Thursday# June 30, when we expect to have an increased entry. It is estimated that Canadian cheese stocks on June 2, at -London, Bristol and Liverpool, were 33,000 boxes, against 07,000 boxes at ithe same time last year. Kauri tlum.—The market is firm, but little doing, and prices are nominally unchanged. Fifty packages were offered, Mostly of a low gradto, and none sold.
