MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED.
BY COLURIOX WITH A TRAM-CAR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christehurch, Last Night. E. W. Nicholls, second son of llr. W. Nicholls, of tlio Koputoncre waterworks, Belfast, met his death as the result of an accident which occurred about midday. He was going home to lunch on a motor-cycle, keeping to the tram-line. Opposite the Waimiri County Council chambers, ho_ swerved off to dodge a tram, but misjudged the distance, Die car catching his back wheel and precipitating him 011 to the road. lie was picked up unconscious, suffering various injuries to liis face and arms. He was "till unconscious when admitted to the hospital, and never regained consciousness. He died about 2.30 p.m.
