Mitchell, a commercial traveller, a witness. Mr K. C. Oliegwin. asked the coroner if Anything; could lie done to investigate the position in regard to summoning medical iissfetanw. He had rang up several doctors. bill the only answer he got was that tliey weTe all out. In one instance at least he had reason to believe thai such was not the case., as the answers to his inquiries indicated as much. Mitchell was lying at the station about three-quarters of an hour before medical assistance arrived. He considered the majority of doctors displayed great carelessness. "111 these instances. The t'ovoucv said it was r.ot a matter for him to deal with. H doctors were ,s;iid to be about it would lie difficult to prove that they were not. It ivas a matter for the Press, lie was perfectly convinced, however, that Mitchell wa.s beyond medical assistance, and his life could not have been saved by any doctor. It wa< plainly the extra exertion : »t hurrying to catih a train that caused his death. lie had dwelt with dozens 01 similar case.-. It was a rush of blood 1 to the heart which was the danger, 11ie heart being snll'iised with blood and liable to cope with it.
