Regarding the murder of Davidson, (he coaclnlriver, it appears that an argument umirnd bitween a Chinaman and D.iw.Tson, the former accusing the driver of cheating him. Davidson retired at the Ucetalibah Hotel. _ Early in the morning a man burst into his room and stabbed him to death. The wound* were apparently inflicted with a large pocketknife. The enquiry was adjourned to allow of an interpreter being present, the Chinaman having been arrested on a charge of murder.
