One hundred and ninety Euzones, with officers, have decided to assist their coreligionists at Epirus. Leaving their rifles in barracks to allay suspicion, they erobarged on a steamer as ordinary passengers. When at sea they overawed the crew and ordered the captain to proceed direct to Prevesa. The authorities, when apprised of the desertions, sent two destroyers in chase. They came abreast of the steamer, and ordered her to follow them. The Euzones refused. The destroyer thereupon lay across the bows of the steamer. The Euzones took the wheel and crashed into the destroyer amidships, then beached their vessel. ,The deserters disembarked and started to march across country, but finally were persuaded to surrender, and were immured in an adjacent fortress. THE UNREST SPREADING. PRINCE WILLIAM MAY RESIGN. Received 7, 6.5 p.m. Durazzo, June 6. The conference of the International Commission of Control with the insurgents proved abortive, the latter insisting on restoration of the Turkish regime. The agitation against the Prince has spread to districts heretofore loyal, It is reported that the notorious insurgent chief Hicmet was caught and shot while attempting to induce the gendarmerie at Eldassan to mutiny. There are renewed reports of the Prince of Wied resigning.
