Mr. Power, the famous restorer, and a member of the National Art Fund Committee, states that a Shropshire gentleman bought a picture at a fair * price in Australia in ISS4. He was unaware, until he has now had it cleaned, that it is a portrait of Titian, by hiinaelf, estimated to be worth anything up t.) £IOO,OOO. Only three others of himself are known to exist.
