The schooner Eric ig now loading at Pugct Sound fof New Plymouth. The Eric, which is under charter to J. C. Spedding, Ltd., has a capacity of 725,000 ft of timber, and her cargo for New Plymouth will comprise, mostly Oregon pine, besides American oak, shingles, laths, etc. The vessel is expected to arrive here towards the end of September. UNION CO.'S FLEET. The Tavhmi is due from southern ports to-day with about 800 tons of general cargo. The C'orimia leaves Dunedin on Monday, Bth, for New Plymouth, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson. The Flora, which left this port last Saturday morning direct for Greymouth, is still unable to enter. At 1 p.m. yesterday there was still a very heavy'sea on the bar.

The Kamona is loading at Newcastle for New Plymouth and Picton.
