SIR JOSEPH WARD.
ENTHUSIASTIC GATHERING AT • HAMILTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. ■Hamilton, Last Night. A remarkable demonstration took place at Hamilton last night to welcome Sir Joseph Ward, who delivered a political address. Over a thousand people were present, and some had to fight for places. Long before the meeting started the crowd filled the passages and flocked on to the stage. The address was on the lines of liis previous speeches, promising a policy on broad, open lines for the good of the people and tile progress of the country. This he would make known to tho people the election, and he trusted the good judgI ment of the people. The audience was very enthusiastic throughout, and after unanimously carrying a vote of confidence, rose and wildly cheered Sir Joseph ! and Lady Ward.
