The drain along Tariki | road from .Salisbury roadi to the tunnel j had been cleared. i Let'hlixidge's filling had been completed. | As the crusher would shortly be ready | to crush on the Carrington road it would be advisable that the contractor proceed 'with his stone contract for that road as nothing had, .been done up to the present. Three 9in. pipes were required for Marsh's corner, Junction road to replace a wooden culvert which 'had been broken. j A limb from a bluegum overhanging j the Hospital road from Mr S. Waitara Riding.—The crushing plant arrived at Mutton Track on the 4th inst., and had crushed 546 yaJds of metal, of which 172 yardj had been used over the contract. It would complete crushing at King road and would shift to iNn.irt road that day. Rowan and Thomason had arranged* tu\ complete 'tneir contract out of Pitt's pit as they had not been able to get sufficient .stone from the river. The Marshall roller had been engaged in scarifying and rolling on various roads in this riding. The Buxton-Proc-ter roller had been put into the foundry for repairs which were about completed, Mr A .Griffiths, driver for the new roller, had worked 13 days, but had now left the Council's employ. Foreman P. Holmes required twentyfour 6iii. pipes for two drains on the | Henwood road.
