On 'the isasna day .ait PreunMey road, New ■Plymouth., I conducted a clearing sale for Mr.-B. J. Baker. The cows were in nice oondlit&on, but included some second ealvers which were not of the .sarnie quality as the older cows. At Stratford, on Tuesday, 26thl inst., I had la very good entry with buyers from all parts. I have several good lines of sheep, for which I had enquiry hint owing to vendor's high reserves, was not able to seW many at tfole hammer, although I made a good clearance privately.
