LIVERPOOL, Governor. the land described in the' Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1008, for a certain pnblic work —to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block VIII., Capo Survey District, Parihaka Road District, Egmont County: And whereas the Parihaka Road Board lias laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a .map, and also 1 the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in -me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
