The Supreme Court held that the Titauia owners were liable only in accordance with American maritime law. This means that litigants will receive nothing, a* the law limits American companies' liability to salvage from the wreck and passenger and freight money collected from the passengers, amounting to 04,000 dollars. Mr. Justice McKenna dissented from the decision, holding that British law ought to apply in the case of British companies. Suite amounting to thirteen million dollars aiv> pending in the American courts.
