The Defence Bill provides a special levy on the wealthy classes, which is expected' to realise £320,000', to assist defence. TROUBLE IN WEST INDIES. Washington, May 24. JTn the Dominican revolt serious ,fighting has taken place at PueTtaplata, ,on the northern coast, where President Bordas raised the blockade. The rebels are marching, against the capital. Foreigners are still safe.
