BRITISH OIL SUPPLIES.
A DEFINITE ANNOUNCEMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 24. 5.5 p.m. London, May 23. 'Hie newspapers definitely announce that, subject to Parliamentary sanction, the Government will subscribe two millions in ordinary shares in the An-glo-Persian Oil Company, the latter contracting to supply fuel. The Government, besides ordinary shares, will take £200,000 worth of debentures in the company, which shortly receives its capital. Ma-. Churchill, in a motion to be moved on Monday, asks for authorisation of the purchases.
