POSTILLION SCRATCHED. Wanganui, Friday. Postillion lias been scratched for hi remaining engagements at the Wanganu meeting. TO DAY'S RACING AT WAXGAKUI. NOTES BY " MOTUROA.'' Wanganui, Last Night. The weather is improving, and promises to be fine for the concluding day of the Wanganui winter meeting . The acceptances are again satisfactory. _ I Recent running points to Kaniki and Wild Lupin as likely to. have most supporters in the Winter Oats. ] The majority of the hacks engaged in the Balgownie Handicap will find the distance beyond them, and Square Deal iiml Master Lupin, if reserved, will probably carry most money. After Riro Atu's forward running yesterday, his chance* in the (handstand Handicap, with n rise of only three pounds, look promising. Silver Monarch is also nicely handicapped. The public may find it •hard t» select the favorite for the Rata Hurdles. With Mescal and Parawanui engaged, {/he pace should be on all the way. Another open-looking race is the May Hurdles. Goodwin Park has only gone up Tibs, and with Jaekman will carry a lot of money. Considerable interest will be tnken in the Empire Handicap, in the meeting between Rewi Polo, Cheddar and Leonta.
Some -smart hacks figure in the Farewell Handicap. New York's track form lias been great, and he and Princess Moutoa may share favoritism.
