Mackcnize seconded, and Lorda Lammington and Freiuo.ntle and others supported, a resolution to send a deputation to the Postmaster-General for the purpose of retaining the penny per pound rate on newspapers sent to Canada, and seeming cheaper rates for newspapers and magazines sent to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
