CADETS' MISDEMEANOR.
RESULT OF INEXPERIENCE. By Cable—Press Association -Copyright Received 21, 9.35 p.m. Melbourne, May 21.
The report of the committee which enquired into Wie matter of cadets breaking the Liverpool camp in November has been tabled in Parliament. It states that the disturbance was, much over-stated, and was the result of ignorance of inexperienced youth rather than of insubordination. Inexperienced officers and inefficient arrangements were contributing causes, but the brigadier was principally blamed. Mr. Millen, referring to the report, said the reproach cast on the cadets was unmerited. Tie strongly condemned the repugnant system of secret reports, whereby, officers were condemned without being given a chance of defence. Orders would be issued that the fullest opportunity of defence should be afforded in future.
