THE WINTER SHOW.
Everything that is possible is being done to make Winter Show Week the most attractive week of the year, so that those seeking holidays or a diversion from business worries cannot do better than visit New Plymouth from June 10 to 13. Besides the many attractions at the show itself, there will also be football matches in the Recreation Grounds on both Thursday and Saturday. The Thursday match will possibly bo the first representative match of the seaaon, and will be against the Wairoa Sub-union. The Saturday •match will be a cup fixture between the Stratford and Okato teams.
Special train arrangements have been made for Thursday, June 11, and Saturday, June 13, so that visitors from other parts of Taranaki can arrive in New Plymouth at 2.30 p.m. and leave again at 6 p.m. Excursion fares will be issued on both these days. Entries for the show are already pouring in, and there is a continuous* demand for space from trade exhibitors'. The raffle for the £SO gold nugget is causing a great deal of interest, and applications for tickets are being received from all parts of New Zealand.
