KILLED IN COLLISION.
A SIGNAL OVERLOOKED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Duncdin, Thursday. The enquiry into the circumstances connected with the death of David Donovan, who was killed through two engines colliding, concluded to-day. The Coroner said he must come to the conclusion that the danger-signal had been overlooked or ■mistaken by David Hutton, driver of the Port Chalmers engine. Mr. McGregor said that I hut amounted to a charge of manslaughter against Hutton.
The Coroner: 1 don't think so. It must be shown that lie did something wrong.
Mr. McGregor further protested.
The Coroner said that was his de eision.
