Affidavits have been rcecived by the State Department, showing that Parks was F.hot by a firing squad upon tihe Mexican commander's orders. The Peace Conference has settled the details of procedure. The proceedings are private.
Amongst the killed in the battle of Paredon was General Mounoz, a nephew of Porfirio Diaz.
A SHIP ASHORE. WITH A HUNDRED PASSENGERS. Received 21, 10.35 pjn. New York, May 21. T6e steamer Atlantis, carrying a hundred oilmen back from Tampico, sent a wireless message to Galveston that she .ft «shore and pounding to pieces, and asking for help.
The warship Connecticut rescued the passengers. Tugs are assisting the steamer.
, WO FEDERAL GENERALS KILLED.
Mexico City, May 20. Mother Constitutionalist victory is
reported. Four thousand Federals retreating from Monclova have teen dis:!jjjjinjed, with heavy losb. Constitutionalists executed t \mmber of captured Federal generals *fte» the battle of Pareden, in which two Other Federal generals were killed. Regarding the Seertuche fight, report* state that one general and thirty-two members of the staff were executed immediately. Th» mediators convened their first cession at Niagara Falls and are discussing procedure. Ambassador Da Gama -welcomed the delegates officially.
