AN OFFICER CRITICISED.
SEEKS REDRESS IN COURT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, May 18. Captain Thomas Webster Kemp, formerly commander of the battleship London, sued Ycxloy, editor of the periodical Fleet, for libel. Kemp's counsel stated that the paper-appealed to the lower deck and solicited criticisms from the crews on superior officers. The article on the London likened conditions aboard her to the swashbuckling at Zabern. Commander Kemp, in evidence, denied that the vessel was seething with discontent, but he admitted that he. was not reappointed when the London was rceommissioncd. The case was adjourned.
