As Uie entering was too large, an ordor for the local baker, it was decided' to invite ]vricoA from New Plymouth, Eltham and Ilawtra. The caterers are to provide everything but the "liquid toasts." The exact spot where the. piece of earth is to be turned is' not yet iadieatod, the local representatives believing; t/liat tihis will be given by the Survey Department. The a'wl of' Mr Wilkinson, M.P., will be obtained' in tliLs connection. The committee anticipate a, large crowd 'of country people at the function, and 'have seit tiliemscilves out to mlake it a. red-letter day in Opunake.
