MONTHLY MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent). The ordinary montlily meeting of tie übovo board was lield at Raliotu 011 Thursday. Present, Messrs Young, Harvey, Phillips. Holmes and Cassie. Mr. Cassie suggested putting in a pipe culvert so as to give ft proper outlet for the carriage of his milk. This was adopted. It was also decided to hold other metalling work until the spring., the foreman to locate the .survey pegs for the roading. The Board decided to be, fully represented at the ceremony of turning the first sod of the Opunakc railway. The clerk was instructed to write to the Reserves Agent with respect to the position of leaseholders, claiming surface damages for metal carted off their land, seeing that the Public Trustee ■ laims all royalty 011 metal. A deputation from the Kina School Committee waited on the Board and asked that a eulvert and a vehicular entrance be mado and gravelled from the roadway to the school gate.—lt im decided to put in 9in pipes, but to leave the metal work open. Foreman J. P. Kennedy reported: 1 would suggest that the Paora road work bo altered to a permanent metalled coat, starting from the Main road downwards. Nine-inch pipes have been placed at the back of Mr. Colmer's section on Gregory road. Mr, A. Phillips has made filling and completed draining on Saunders road at a coat of .-C5. Mr. A. Denham has agreed to plough out water-tables on Lower VVaitieka road. Eight chains of metalling have been completed. Repairs to Wurea road in metalling, water-tabling -and draining have been made. ( suggest that a new arched culvert be placed over the the Main creek during' the summer. A pipe culvert is being placed in Kina road (upper) by Mr. Pentelow. Repairs have been done to Ngariki road. Fifteen and a-half chains of drains have been cleaned out 011 Rahotu ro.td;sl chains on Upper Waiteika. Ten yards of boulder stone have been carted out by Mr. Chapman on Stent road.
