J'our of Captain Cook's letters, detailing liU visit to the South Seas, New Zealand and New South Wales in 1770, will be .auctioned at Sotheby's in July; also the unpublished diary of Ralph ('lark, Lieutenant of Marines in the ship Friendship, covering the period from 1757 to 1792, with a gap of two years, dealing with transportation. This includes an unofficial account of Major Ro.-ss' nilo in Norfolk Island.
