SHIPPING COMPANY'S RISKS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 13. The High Court of Appeal delivered a judgment of great importance to shipping. A seaman sought compensation from the Union Company for injuries received. aboard th» steamer Moana when 200 miles at sea. on the return voyage from San Francisco to Sydney. The claim was based on the theory that the voyage was from Sydney to Sydney, and therefore that the ship was under the .Commonwealth law for the. whole voyage. The company held that it was not liable to pay compensation until the vessel reached Commonwealth waters. The Court upheld the company's contention.
