EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. This evening the management present, a particularly powerful "Broncho"' masterpiece, entitled "The Optri Door." The story runs as follows-John Blair was one of .those' rich old hypocrites who will donate a handsome sum to build a church, but who have no use for helping the poor and unfortunate. 11< was president of the Board of Trustees, and because he opposed Robert Walton the young minister, in his plans to extend the activities of the church to the needy part of the town, Walton resigned and went to Boston to take up city mission work. Blair's daughter, Grace, was in love with the minister, and in his rage, her father turned her out. She wcnt\ away with Walton — they married and worked together in a mission called the "Open Door." Supporting items include ''Between the Dances" (drama), "Let 'Em Quarrel" (Florence Turner Comedy) "Flyleaf of Fate" (Rob. drama), ' "Wiffles and Merry Widow" (comedy), "Calcutta Scenes," etc., etc., which promise a most enjoyable evening.
