OIIIUSTCHURCH SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At the Supreme Court Robert 11. Bontley was convicted of common assault under provocation and was lined £lO.

Anthony Dean, for theft of £lB, was admitted to probation for twelve months, on condition that he repaid the money. Albert Gordon Smith admitted two charges of breaking and entering and theft. Sentence was deferred to allow" of the prisoner's identity and past record being cleared up. Charles W. Adam was convicted of common assault and fined £2O. Arthur King was sentenced to lire years for theft from the person.

DUNEDIN SESSIONS. ; Dunedin, Last Night. At the Supreme Court criminal sittings to-day, William James Conn was found guilty of theft and common assault, and not guilty of robbery with violence. Thomas Frederick Sutor was charged with obtaining goods by false pretences, and without having any intention of paying for them. The. case for the Crown was just completed when the Court rose. The accused intimated his intention to call evidence to-morrow. HABITUAL CRIMINALS. Wellington, Yesterday. At the Supreme, Court to-day John Edward Ramsay was sentenced' to 12 months' imprisonment on a charge of breaking, entering and theft and declared an habitual criminal. Albert Hansen and Harry Sponner, on similar charge.", I were also declared habitual criminals.

THE WELLINGTON SESSIONS. Wellington. Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Thomas Frederick Everest, charged with theft and receiving stolen goods, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
