A CONSUL MURDERED.
IN FRENCH AFRICA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 12, 11.45 p.m. Tunis, May 12. Mr Batt, the Norwegian Consul, was killed by a revolver shot in a railway carriage between Bizerta and Tunis (French Northern Africa). The body was then thrown on the line. The Commissary <if Police attempted to question two youths suspected of the murder, when one fired at the Commissary, without result. The Commissary fired, killing his assailant, and then arrested his companion.
