BIG EXPENDITURE IN SYDNEY. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright Received 12, 8.10 p.m. Sydney, May 12. Mr Stowe, an architect, submitted to a committee of the North Sydney Council a plan for stores and workshops, which the Union S.S. Company proposes erecting at Ball's Head. This includes provision tanks for the storage of 12,000 tons of oil fuel, also large quantities of coal. The complete scheme involves an expenditure of £IOO,OOO. Mr Stowe will visit America to study the latest methods of fuel storage, and to seeure the best machinery for transporting it.
