AUSTRIAN FLAG PUBLICLY BURNED

A large numlwr of students assembled on the Piazza, at Venice, during the most crowded hour of the evenin", cheering and singing the national hymns. When a considerable throng had collected, suddenly the Austrian flag was produced and solemnly burnt, amidst howls and hisses.
An impassioned oration, denouncing Austria, was delivered by a youthful student. The surface friendship of Italy for Austria is wearing rather thi«.
