THE AMATEUR CODE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Light. . A meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Association was held to-night. It was decided, in view of the changes ill New Zealand and Australasian records, consequent on the American athletes' visit, to insert a new list of records in the rule booV
It was decided to take a vote by post of the associations in the Australasian Union on the subject of making the use of guard boards optional in shut putting competitions. The Australasian Union notified that the following Australasian records had been adopted by the executive: 120 yds running, 11 4-asec, G. L. Parker, at Sydney, February 21, 1014; one mile run, tain 18 2-ssec, J. A. Power, at Masterton, March 5, 1914; putting l«lb shot (7ft circle), 45ft K. R. Caughey, at Palmerston Xorth, January 7, 1014; pok- vault, lift 6 ] / 2 in, R. R. Tcmpleton, at Svdney, February 21, 1914.
