Frozen meat—New ■ Zealand sheep, 3%d; New Zealand ewes, V/ 4 d; Canterbury lambs, heavy 5 11-lfid, selected o 13-l;6d. New Zealand beef—Pores ' 3 7-lfid, hinds 4 7-lGd.
Australian lambs—Best brands 5y 2 d, fair quality 5%d, inferior fl>/ 4 d; be"ef, fores 3%d, hinds 4%d. South American sheep—Heavy 3y 2 d, ewes 3%d; lambs, first quality 5%d, seconds 5%d; beef, frozen, fores, 3 7-Md, hinds 4%dj chilled, fores 3y 2 d, hinds sVzd. Other meats unchanged. Rabbits —Very dull. New South Wales, blue, ex store, 14s Od to IBs. Several parcels ex Morayshire were condemned at London, and many stopped at Liverpool for examination. v London, May 10. At the wool sales there were large offerings of crossbreds, and, with good competition, prices were maintained. There were 135,035 hales catalogued and 129,516 sold. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand . clips named:—Ngatapa, top price 12y a d, average llv,d; Tekapu 12y s d and lid;' Ugbroke, 15d and 14y 4 d! Wheat—Firm. The advance is rather checking business. The wheat and flo.ur afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,915,000 quarters.' Continent 2,010,000 quarters,' Atlantic shipment 348,000 quarters, Pacific 3000 quarters. The total to Europe is 1,415,000 quarters, including Australasian 205,000 quarters. Cotton.—May-June shipment 6.94 d. Hemp.—Firmer. High point-fair> MayJuly £24 10s to £24 lfis. Rubber.—Para 2s lid, plantation 2s 6y 4 d, smoked 2s 6y 2 d. Copra.—Slow.. South sea bags Aprilj May-June £25 109. •» Hides—Slightly better demand, but quotations unchanged. Leather.—Moderate demand. Basils in good demand for all qualities. New Zca. lands 16% d t0,21d. Antimony, £2 9s. Fencing wire, 137s 6d, less 3 per cent.

Canterbury S'/jd heavweight/i>%d, other than Canterbury ''a 15-16 d/ Be^L—There is better demand for beef. New Zealand hinds 4 7-16 d per lb, fores 3 7-16 d, chilled hinds 5%d, fores 3'/ 2 d. Butter. —The market is quiet. Danish, steady, i per cwt., 112s to 114s; New Zealand, in;fair demand, 106s to 107s, exceptionally fine 108s; Australian, little doing, 100s to 104s; Argentine, uhsalted, quiet, 104s to 108s; Siberian, steady 99s to 100s; Irish creameries, good inquiry, 104s to 108s. Cheese. —The market is weaker, with' more inquiry at lower, prices.' Canadian white, per cwfc v Wis to 86s, colored 08s to 71s; New Zealand -white, (iOs. to Cls 6d, finest colored C3s to 63s (Id, fine colored 62s to 62s Od; Australian white, 595, colored 80s to 61s; finest English Cheddar, new make, 60s to 645; Scotch Cheddar; new make 55s to 575. Hemp.—The market is- quiet, with a general feeling of uneasiness, and buyers are cautious. New Zealand, good fair per top, £26, June Jo August shipments, good fair £26s 103, fair £23 10s; Manila fair current £27, June to August shipments ' £27 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 28,000 bales. Wheat.—The market is -firmer. Oats.—The market continues dull. Wool.—The market is very firm and Americans are operating freely.
