KILLED BY ELECTRICITY. l!,v Telegraph- l':v«: Association. Hokitika, Last Night. A sad event occurred at the Ross Goldfields' Knnicri forks power station on Saturday, when the body of Remini Sargison, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Sargison, well known resjdents of Hokiiika, was found close to the danger zone of the electrical gear. From what can he gathered, it appears that the deceased by some means came into contact with- the electrical current. The doctor was in attendance shortly after the body was found, hut life was extinct. Deceased was very popular, and had made considerable advance in his profession as an electrical operator. He was nineteen years of age. SEAMAN'S FATAL FALL. Oisborne, Last Night. A Russian seaman named Albert Vassele was found dead in bed on the M-hooner Elsie Mary, on the Harbor Hoard's slipway, early this morning. It is understood that he fell down a ladder when climbing on to the ship late on Saturday night, and received injuries. He climbed up again, and went to bed, but did not wake again. FOUND DEAD IN BED. Dunedin, Last Night. A man named John Cowan, believed to he a little over 30 years of age, and single, was found dead in bed at his residence in Stuart street this morning. At present the cause of death is unknown. DEATH FROM HEART DISEASE. Dunedin, Last Night. Neil McAuley, aged 24 years, and em[ployed, as a groom at 'the Ballarat Hotel, Arrowtown, was found dead in bed on Friday. Death was due to heart disease. The deceased's relatives live at South Dunedin. ' DEATH FROM EXPOSURE. Carterton, Last Night. .Tames Chapman, a farmer-, of Taiv.-Uhi,-was found dead outside his hous* at 5.30 o'clock this morning. At an inquest to-day the coroner returned the verdict of death from exposure. A post mortem examination showed all the organs sound except the heart, which was slightly enlarge*. BODY WASHED ASHORE. Wellington, Last Night. A body was found washed up at Kaiwarra at 3 p.m. to-day. A constable was sent out, and the remains brought in to Wellington, but they were so decomposed that identification was impossible.

ACCIDENT? ON A STEAMER. Wellington, Last Night. Thomas Black, a member of the erew of the steamer Wharigapc, when throwing a bucket of refuse over the side, slipped and fell about eight feet on to the deck, sustaining severe injuries. He was'removed in an unconscious condition to the 'hospital.

FATAL FALL -FROM BALCONY. Wellington, Last Night. Arthur Edward Ktchelles, aged oi, mn rripd, foil from the balcony of a private hos|iilal in Davis stree' f about 2 p.m. yosti-rday. and died at 3.30 p.m. The deceased was a partner ; n Usher and Ktcliells. bagmakers, and was being trußtpd for nervous breakdown.

TEMPORARILY INSANE. Dunedin, Last Night. At the inquest on the body of John F. Woodhouae. held before "Mr Graham, Coroner, this afternoon, ,T. F. M. Fraser said he had noticed lately that the de« ceased was in a measure losing bis sense of proportion. He had complained of pr.ins in tin- head, and witness had sugfH'stod on more than one occasion that lie should take a holjday. All bis papers were in perfect, order, brought np to date, and that applied to all his work at Hie office. A verdict was relumed that he died from a gunshot wound, self inflicted, whilst in a state of temporary insanity.

MOTOR CYCLIST'S DEATH. Dunedin, Saturday. At ihe inquest on Alex. Smith, who dies as the result of injuries sustainad in a motor-cycle collision on the Main South road near Allanton on April 28, the coroner (Mr Graham) returned a verdict that the occurrence was purely accidental, and that death w:s due to a fractnrcd skull and meningitis.
