At the Magistrate's Court, two men, Owen Gladstone Swan and Thomas McNamara, were committed'for trial on a charge of assaulting and robbing a man in Taranaki street one night a week ago. The victim stated that the accused met him and asked for a loan, which he refused. Then one put his arm round the. victim's neck, and kept a tight grip while the other rilled his pockets, taking 15s.
