This enacts that if a Minister corruptly recommends the conferment of a title or honour, he shall lie. liable to imprisonment foj a term not exceeding two years, or a fine not exceeding £10()0, or both. Corruption consists of the payment or promise of money to the party funds. As the measure is highly controversial the Friday five o'clock rule stayed off the discussion.
