Ten thousand "Industrial Workers of the World" held a demonstration /in Union Square. The police charged several times, and many were injured. The picketing of Rockefeller's residence continues. Mr Upton Sinclair lias been released, as the fine was paid. Mr Rockefeller is keeping secluded at his country residence.

THE VERDICT. A CASE TO ANSWER. Received 4, 12.25 a.m. New York, May 3. The jury, on the inquest on the Ludlow tent disaster, returned a verdict that the mine guards or the militiamen smarted the fire which caused the women's and children's deaths. An open verdict was returned in the case of seven men killed in the battle with the mine guards.
