Brace, Labour M.P. for Glainovganslhire, speaking at Newtredgear, foreshadowed the miners' demand in 1915 for ninepence per day beyond the present minimum for all workers. They intend to demand an amended Minimum Wage Act. Ulster had frightened Parliament, but the aristocracy had set the workers an example wliidh the combined forces of labour might find useful.
DAY BAKTNG BILL DEMANDED. THE OPERATIVES' ULTIMATUM. Received 3, 5.6 p.m. Sydney, May 3. The bakers have delivered an ultimatum to the masters that day baking must be started within a week, or they will strike.
