THE PURCHASE "A GRAVE ERROR." By Cable—Press Association —Copyright Received 1, 9.40 p.m. London, May 1. The House of Lords Committe finds that Lord Murray's purchase of Marconi's was a grave error. It was hi? plain duty to acquaint the new Clfief Whip of the/ purchase for the party funds. He should also have submitted information to the House of Commons Committee.
Th« charges in connection with the investment of the party funds in Tailway stocks was groundless and nothing in the charges reflected on his personal honor. The committee recommends that there should henceforth be an inflexible rule against puhlic officer!) indulging in speculations.
