MINERS ENTOMBED.
FATAL EXPLOSION* IX VIRGINIA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Washington, April 2S. A:i explosion in the New River Collieries Company's mine at Beckley, West Virginia, entombed 250 men in the 600 ft level. A rescue crew was promptly organised, and rescued two men, who were seriously injured, but wag unable to reach the others. The explosion was so .severe that it wag heard.miles away.
