RIFLE SHOOTING.
TEAM FOR EMPIRE CUP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The General Officer Commanding has been notified by Colonel Collins that he. approves of the following team to represent New Zealand in the Empire Riflo Match, to take place in Melbourne next November:—Riflemen W. Masefielrt and H .Loveday, Lieut. IT. Simmonds, Rifleman J. Milroy, Corp. Bent, Riflemen D. M>Tntosli, J. Given and .1. Cheesemen (highest aggregate scorers in final fifty before the belt was fired for), and Rifleman S. Patrick and Private L. Loveday (selected by tlie committee).
The team will leave early in October and take part in the New South Wales rifle meeting. The team will probably be in charge of Captain Doull, of Dun«din.
