Tlie King, on arrival at Dover, replying to an address, said: "We will nevel forget Hie warmth and enthusiasm of our reception in France, and I hope this, genuine proof of friendship and good feeling towards Great Britain part of the French nation will be fully realised by my people." The Queen Mother 'Alexandra awaited the train at the Victoria railway station, and Iving George, on alighting, kissed her on both cheeks. Queen Manlikewise embraced her.
Ihe spontaneous cSieers 'given for France wherewith their Majesties were greeted on the way from Victoria station to Buckingham Palace, showed that the visit was popular here as in Prance.
BRITISH ROYALTIES RETURN HOME.
Paris, April 24. The King invested M. Doumerge with the Grand Cross of the Victoria Order.
M. Poincarc bade farewell to their Majesties at the railway station and the King expressed his appreciation ot the warm welcome they had received.
GERMAN OPINION. Berlin .April 24. The Cologne Gazette says that nothing in the Paris speeches is inconsistent with the entente (better understanding) with Great Britain, for which Germany was steadily working.
